Parish Groups
St Vincent de Paul Society
The Gunnedah branch of this charitable organisation was active before World War 2 but was not officially aggregated until July 30, 1964. The society welcomes volunteers of all denominations in its Bloomfield Street store, where funds are generated for the welfare arm of the society. Catholic men and women are invited to become a conference member, involved in assistance, hospital and home visitation, care of the sick, and infirm, the disadvantaged and bereaved.

Catholic Women’s League
The CWL was formed in Joseph’s Parish in 1975, with all members involved in many aspects of parish life. The group hosts and attends interdenominational functions and raises money for Mercy Works and Fr Chris Riley’s Youth Off the Streets as well as donating to the church. The CWL meets monthly.

Family Group
The Passionist Family Group Movement is an international organisation founded in 1973 by Father Peter McGrath CP in the parish of St Anthony in the Fields, Terrey Hills. With loneliness and isolation so prevalent in society, there is a genuine need for people to know and support each other. The Palmer Family Group creates an extended family atmosphere within the community and is open to everyone.
